With easy access to the motorway, Valencia is less than two hours drive and Madrid 3 hours, also easily reached by express train from Alicante. This area of Spain is not just for the golfer however, although there are further choices of over 20 courses locally, it has a wealth of old inland historical towns including Orihuela, Elche and Murcia. The climate on this part of the Costa Blanca assures the region of more than 300 days of sunshine a year with annual average temperatures of between 18c and 20c.
